This is a project that depicts women from the countryside who arrive to Kyiv for selling the goods made or grown by themselves.
The project has started in summer 2022 and now it is on going. It is split into 2 parts and supposed to be a book.
Here are materials of second part from the full body of work where we find the selling process. The aim of this part is not to document the amount and types of products, but to create a portrait of the women. As most of them do ask not to shoot their faces I choose the strategy of documenting tiny movements, gestures, selling counters, typical artifacts and their working conditions.
Every week on Saturday the women take part in a spontaneous market in the center of the city, near the railway station. All of them use an electric train to get to the spot, some of them travel for 200 km on one side. They use this type of transport because it is cheap. However, the way takes much longer than by a train or by a car, and requires a lot of energy to ship heavy boxes.
These women have incredibly strong motivation, power and dignity. Getting over extremely difficult ways they stay optimistic, humane and hilarious.

Most common boxes that women use while carrying goods to a spot.
Usually they have found boxes after bananas.
Women named a box as 'banan-ka'.

These bags are legendary durable.
