I know that it would sound extremely pathetic, but I suppose it was a life-changing week.
On Wednesday I visited a networking event organized by ‘Insha Osvita’. I had a deep meaningful dialogue with Pierre Mohamed-Petit, who is working in Magnum Photos Agency now.
I was deeply interested in listening to his experience and I am grateful for his attention to our practices (we were together with Vika Lisovska there). I found a lot of insights from our conversation that I need to process and structure. Unfortunately, I didn’t take any pictures of the event, I was focusing on communication, so I’m adding pictures from my day off yesterday.

On photo me and the work without title. 2022, printed 2024. Edition of 2.
On Monday I sent my analog work to Prague to my dear friend Evhenia on her future birthday! I printed it in a darkroom on Ilford paper in size of 15x21cm from the film that I shooted before February 2022. It was my second time in the darkroom and the second time I printed the same work as I did during the workshop by Tania Bakum in November 2023.
I don’t see these analog works quality enough for selling, so I have gifted all my first darkroom experiences to my friends.
Soon planning to print the same work once again using the masking technique and another paper.

Last week I received an unexpected email from reFocus. They suggested me to try my photo in their annual contest. There are 22 categories and they shared with me a code for free participating in one of the categories with a single image. I have been looking through my archive analyzing which of my work would fit into the contest’ format. I’ve stopped at the work from ‘The pool’ series, reconsidering its color. This series has already won Honorable mention in IPA 2022. Will see!

Today I've decided to start a photo diary page inside my own website. I've come to the point of my practice when the archive that I preciously collected during the last 4 years makes me finally let it go. I'm not sure what is the direct intention of this page, but I hope to keep this page alive as soon as I have any idea to share with.
Today's topic is BW. This summer I was shooting a lot in BW again, as I did in 2022. So this collection (not ready to name it series) of photos was taken in summer 2024 on a digital camera. I highly enjoyed working with these pics. As well as watching them despite its frivolous purpose.
